Profile of
Yallang Gewog, Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag.
Yallang Gewog Administration is located
to the North-West of the Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag Administration bordered with
the Estate of Arunachal Pradesh, India to the East and Ramjar Gewog from the
West. It is suitably situated at the altitude of 2250 meters above the sea
level with the population of 3336 and 432 households. The dialects they
converse were Sharchops and Dagpa kha (local dialects) and their livelihood
fully depends on the production of rice and maize and also they generate their
income from selling rice, chilies and papers to the nearest marketing areas.
However, Yallang Gewog is one of the
Remotest Gewog under the Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag having poor mobile net-work, no
internet connection, even a farm road connectivity is not there till date. However,
the construction of farm road is going on these days to facilitate any
networking activities.
