Retey is far-flung village under Jigmicholing Gewog under Sarpang Dzongkhag, which consist of 20 household with approximate population of 150. people in Retey Gewog derived their livelihood through Agriculture and Livestock farming. in the past the Retey village falls under Trongsa Dzongkhag under Korphu Gewog. they originated of Monpa and follow the bon as religion.
A far-flung place like in Retey there is sacred nye blessed by Guru Rinpochhe in 7th century. To day the scared site is not aware by most of the bhutanese people especially Southern region.
